The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible consists of 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. They are Divinely inspired so as to be sufficient regarding all matters of the faith and practice as to following Christ into eternal life. It is the Holy Spirit that illuminates His Word so that we can understand God’s will for our lives. God can and often does reveal Himself by means other than the Bible, yet by the Holy Bible we are given a gold standard by which all other purported revelation MUST be tested.

Careful examination of the Holy Bible in the original languages, in the cultural context in which they were written is not merely helpful, but absolutely essential, in coming to a carefully examined understanding of God’s will for us and the doctrines that are set forth to meet those ends.

It is not by the Bible only- but by God’s Word supremely that we come to know His will. Any notion that conflicts the Bible cannot be valid. We are each responsible to examine the Word of God for ourselves and in turn to be examined BY the Word of God.

For those that do not have the time or interest in studying the Bible in it original languages we ask: if the King James version of the Holy Bible was good enough for the Apostle Paul- why shouldn’t it be good enough for us?
